Dogs as Leadership Coaches

“A dog is a man’s best friend,” people would often say. It is pretty interesting because dogs really have distinct characteristics that make them the ideal pets at home, whether you’re a grown-up or a young kid. Dogs are the perfect companion, many would agree because people are also able to draw a learning or two from them. Some dog owners believe that dogs actually demonstrate good leadership with their genuine traits. Here is why:

Dogs can be trained and disciplined. With proper training, dogs can develop among themselves the will to do the right things and make sound choices. Moreover, trained dogs also demonstrate the ability to recognise mistakes and to take responsibility for their actions. Sometimes, it appears that dogs are more logical than humans, with their ability to keep things simple and far from complicated.

Dogs find joy in little things. It is easier to accomplish things and harmony if you are more appreciative of even the smallest of things. Dogs are the best example for this value. Rarely or almost never would you have a dog complaining about what is not there; rather they exhibit great joy about the things they have.

Dogs always see the best in people. If a dog doesn’t bite you, it’s either because he or she is well-trained enough not to or he or she simply sees the best in you. Dogs have really strong senses, capable of determining whether someone poses  a threat or not. With these traits, dogs are generally positive about mankind but still remain cautious and mindful of who or what might harm them.

Dogs are happy to make everyone around them happy. Most pet dogs are naturally energetic and playful, bringing joy to everyone around. Their vibes are easily infectious and it’s impossible for everyone around them not to smile at least once with their mere presence.
