Don’t be fooled at the constant chirping of those little birds. They’re smarter than you and a possibility lies that they’re more talented than we humans can be! These facts will blow your mind and leave you amused. Yes, you read it right!

1. Take photographs

The “Carrier pigeon,” can be trained to fly between two specific points by placing their food at one location and their nest at another. This method has been used since time immemorial to deliver messages, but German apothecary Julius Neubronner took it a step further when he strapped a time-delay camera to a bird and invented pigeon photography, which was tested out for military use in WWI.

3. Distinguish art paintings

A study concluded in 1995 (PMC: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC1334394/) proved that pigeons can learn to distinguish between a painting of Monet by one of Picasso. This result indicated that a pigeon’s behaviour is controlled by objects that are depicted from impressionist style of paintings rather than the cubist style of paintings.
